The Women's Athletic and Recreational Association which was formed this year was a great success. The organization was open to all girls at G.C.C. providing activities such as volleyball, basketball, tennis and bowling. It provided an opportunity for students to get acquainted with students of G.C.C. as well as other colleges. In the fall, a tennis tournament was organized in which we played William Smith College. We didnlt succeed but enjoyed the fun of playing tennis. In basketball a team was chosen and we played at University of Rochester and Roberts Wesleyan played us at Batavia Jr. High. We finished with a 0-2. Going to Fredonia was great fun. We played volleyball against five colleges. We came close to winning, enjoying every minute of playing. During March and April, a bowling tournament has taken place. Fourteen teams are participating which will follow with awards. To finish off our year we plan to have a picnic to get all the girls together for a night of fun. This organization has proven itself to be great fun for all. We hope to see many new faces in the coming year. women's athletic and recreational association Seated: P. Mancuso, Row One: D. Piechocki. R. Schmeider, D, Swift. N. Baker. D. Allison.
