cuss HISTORY X NTERING our Freshnan year ln September 1947, we had thlrty SIX members w1th Mr Dletz as f our class advlsor We chose our offlcers who were Presldent, Adel1ne McGee, Vlce Presldent Iamce Barnes, Secretary, Betty Gaylord and Treasurer Ruth Elklns We opened our bank account wlth S31 57 whlch we earned by raffllng a toastmaster Durlng the same year we were proud to re late that our boys beat all the upper classmen and won the mtramural banner for thelr skxll Dur mg th1s year twelve of our fellow classmates left us They were Ioan Harvey, Bert Mealus, Ray mond Spann, Raymond Brown, Robert Studor R1chard Kellogg Charles Mxles Ianlce Barnes, Ruth Elkms, Beverly Kellogg, Douglas Tucker and Donald Jones We were proud to have Bert Mealus Charles Mlles, Robert Studor and Carl Sweeney on the Iunxor Varsxty Basketball squad Four glrls Adel1ne McGee, Elame Rowell, Kay Rowell and joan Harvey were on the Cheerleadmg squads Mr Plckermg was chosen advlsor for our Sophomore Class Our off1cers were Presldent E1leen Rowell V1ce Presldent, Adel1ne McGee, Secretary Elaxne Studer, and Treasurer, Betty Gaylord Thls year we had one dance whlch we lncreased our account from S52 to S120 Later on we had a raffle on a ham from whlch we made S22 16 Durlng thls year Barbara Perkms Ted Sny der Gladys M1llard, Gene Gaylord, Peter Shumway and Everett Burdlck, George Beadore, Beverly Hawk and Cora Bowers Jomed us Io1n1ng the Basketball squad th1s year were Gene Gaylord, Eve Yeti B1ll'd1Ck, Peter Shumway and Carl Sweeney Betty Gaylord Kay Rowell and Elleen Rowell were on jumor Varslty Cheerleadmg Adel1ne McGee and Elame Rowell were on Varslty Cheeerleadmg and Nancy Wantz was subst1tute Among the II1lSS1I'lgth1S year were Rlchard McMahon Sh1r1ey Domser, Peter Shumway, Carl Sweeney, Gladys Mlllard, George Beadore jack Flynn and Ted Snyder In the year of 1949 we became full fledged Iumors There were seventeen of us, wlth Mrs Free nun as our class advlsor We elected offlcers as follows Presldent, Betty Gaylord, Vxce Presldent R1chard Rogers, Secretary, Barbara Perkms iLater Mary Van Nestj, Treasurer, Elame Studer On January 21, and on October 28, we had two dances wzth the Pastells and the Top Hats playmg W also sold Everyday Cards, Chrlstmas Cards Wr1t1ng Paper and General Martm Sweatshxrts We had a dance on Aprll 17 Jerry Reeds Orchestra played Rlchard Hopslker Joxned us xn the flrst of the year and at the half of the year Carl Sweeney came and later Barbara Perkms, Rlchard Hopsnker, Everett and Peter Shumway left us We ordered our rmgs 1n the sprmg of th1s year ln the year of our Lord, 1950, the month of September and the day the 6th, we are proud to say that flfteen of us entered our Semor year We elected offlcers as follows Presldent, Adelme McGee Vlce Presldent, Evelyn Carr, Secretary, Elaxne Studer, and Treasurer, Nancy Wantz Dunng uns year Allce Clemons left us We had a dance at the begmmng of the year and durmg the same t1me we sold Book Covers and General Martm Sweatshxrts Fwe of our gxrls are on the Cheerleadmg squad and our P G Ed Norton and Carl Sweeney are on the Basketball squad Ci? . x G D ,. -. 1 I A ' v-,. 1 ' Q . . . . . . . - . . . , . . . . . , .
