Grant Principal General Douglas MacArthur High School 1967 Commander June, 1967 To the class of 1967: On the eve of your departure from the halls of secondary education, I congratulate those of you who have had the perception to take full advantage of the preparation for a complex life which has been offered you. We thought the “Soaring Sixties to be an incredible decade! I submit that the Unbelievable Seventies'' and the decades to come will surpass anything previously conceived by man, in terms of technological ad- vance! The Impossible Dream we have, will not be impossible to achieve if your generation pays heed to an exhortation which, so far, has fallen on the deaf ears of past generations: the humanities and proper consideration of the rights of all men must—at last—receive your proper consideration! Do not fail to heed the call! Best wishes for the realization of your Impossible Dream are now tendered by your faculty and administration. They will be watching your generation in the years ahe'ad to see if you can and will succeed, where we have failed. 18
