One of the outstanding extra-curricular activities this past year was the Gem City mixed chorus, spon- sored by the Y.M.C.A. and directed by Paul Pfeiffer, a Gem City student who is one of Quincy's leading younger musicians. The group met regularly and produced some beautiful chorals. They not only received valuable trainin in group singing but were carefully trained in music appreciation. This will prove of im- mense value to them in later life.
