PALMA, MALLORCA 5-I2 OCTOBER After twenty-eight days at sea, the GEARING ulled into Palma, de Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain, for our first liberty port. This port, Palma, one of the world's most famous resort towns, proved to be a lively ort of call. The entire crew spent their liberty hours sight-seeing gre interestin sights of this port, buying Spanish souvenirs for themselves or sneir loved ones back home, and visiting Blood Alley and jimmyis . The city of Palma, with a population of some 150,000, stands at the head of Palma Ba , on the southern coast of the Island.
