Through the generosity of a. friend, Mrs. Roy Kimmel, who brought us a branch from a Florida coconut tree, we had the pleasure of watching the coconut ripen and eventually fall from its stem. Several of the students take beginners band under Mr. Bertram and will later join the high school band. The ten eighth graders are making plans for commencement week. A school trip, a class picnic, and graduation are listed on the calendar of events. ,:1,.g.R ' -H .+ M, ,A n. A V, 'bi V1 A 1 V f if .Q M 231,45 X - t Q' 155 we . Field trips to the post office, the lumber yard, the Independent Press, and the telephone office were taken. Interesting comparisons of business places, kinds of work, kinds of recrea- tion, and other topics were made.
