This progress has been planned and directed by administration, community leaders, and other patrons who are looking toward the future. Wise changes, which have occurred only as the plan- ners were certain that the new building would bring great improvement over the old, have been made. We are positive that the well-directed rogress of these years has made Reorganized District in a better school. FUREWDRD The Beaver Staff has in these few pages tried to capture some pert of the work, the play, the seriousness and the gaiety which have made our high school days in the new building a magic time. We hope that as you turn through the pages of the 'Beavern in years to come, it will bring the joy of reminiscence to all who remem- ber the class of '56. MM 0 I x . Mavis Kelling quit school after one week leaving us with ll students. The sponsor was Mrs. John Cole, and the officers were presi- dent, Eldon Frankg vice president, Larry Dannenbergg secretary-treasurer, Mary Lou Rubendall. ' During the sophomore year we lost a brilliant student,Sina Beitner, who had recently come from Germany and then moved to Chicago. We welcomed Paul Woods and Karen Russ into the class which gave a total of 12. The sponsor was Mrs. Plano Conrad, and the officers were president, Loren Dalg Lehmann: vice presi- dentg Robert Gieseg secretary-treasurer, Karen Russ. When 195A came around, we,as upperclassmen, honored the seniors with a beau- tiful banquet whose theme was WAn 'frican Safari',Later we gave a play 'Grampa Goes to Collegen with Warren Boomer as class sponsor and director. The class officers of that year were Randall Hamilton, presidentgRobert Bose, vice pres- identg and Arleen Miller, secretary-treasurer. We lost one more student,Karen Russ, who moved to Logan. The final year had rapidly come, the year which was the busiest but also the most exciting, During October the class ordered their cardsiand announcements and shortly afterward had their pictures taken.Following that wehad the thrill of moving into the new school building and to be the first tube graduated from it. The officers of our class were president, Eldon Frankg vice president,Loren Dale Lehmanng secretary-treasurer,Robert Giese. We lost two members during the senior year, Arleen Miller and Paul Woods, who transferred to Smith Center.
