 AFS” The American Field Service (AFS) is an organization that gave me a good opportunity to see new things, to look at old things I knew before from a new approach, including myself as well as my own country. I was asked to do many things in this country that I probably would never have done in my own country, such as speak- ing in front of an audience, canoeing, skiing on a snowy mountain and making a snowman. I learned so much. I had an opportunity to see the American way, both good and bad, and also found that many of your approaches to things can be applied in my own country. I feel that the experience that I have had is going to be very helpful in my future. The knowledge I have gained here could never be found in books. I learned the language, I learned a lot about myself and another part of my personality has emerged since I came here. I thought I was going to have a good experience this year and I really had a wonderful time. I would like to say “thank you” to the teachers and administration, councelors, the office staff, the studend government, and the entire student body who made me feel like one of them.
