I Eric Woelhoff and Tracey Rhines read a book To memorize lines. This year's speech club involved 30 people and aT leasT '15-20 people in compeTiTion, which was held every SaTurday. There was a large increase from The members 84 compeTiTors from lasT years number. The speech club also had a sTudenT congress in The spring and The fall, which as compared To lasT year They only had one sTudenT congress which was in The spring. This year sTudenT congress hoped To have Governor Lammas a guesT speaker on February 46, 4985. They had Their Readers TheaTre aT Rangeview and They hoped many would be persenT. As a compeTiTor one can qualify for disTricT, sTaTe and naTional compeTi- Tion. Speech club deals mainly wiTh speaking and lisTening and They won many ribbons This year, alone, for com- peTiTion among oTher sTudenTs from oTher schools They compeTed in inTer- preTaTion of liTeraTure in dramaTic, hu- mor, poeTry, self wriTTen compeTiTion, 3 3 debaTe and The 30 minuTe speech.
