The Freshman FooTball Team had a balance of TaIenT and size which is sure To help The VarsiTy in The years To come, according To coach Kevin Mor- gan. AlThough The record was 2-6 They were a very good fooTball Team, boTh offensively and defensively. The sophomore fooTball Team finished The season wiTh 6 wins and A losses and were coached by Mr. Spencer Johnson. The players were Tough, dedicaTed, and closely kniT, according To coach Johnson. They played as a Team and did very well. The head coach said, lf The play- ers will work hard in The off season, They should have a good shoT aT mak- ing The sTaTe playoffs in 1985 or 1986 WiTh a liTTle biT of hard work, GaTe- way's upperclassmen fooTball Team will have a good chance To become a winning Team.
