WiTh only TwenTy six players on The squad and The uncompromising school schedule They sTill managed To win Three games. The Team also lacked size. They finished The season wiTh all The players under Two hundred pounds. They sTarTed The season wiTh a scrimmage againsT Thomas Jefferson. Following ThaT They Traveled To Colora- do Springs and played DoherTy. Al- Though They losT The game, They en- Tered The nexT againsT Fairview wiTh a posiTive aTTiTude. NexT GaTeway played Aurora CenTraI. We peaT Them wiTh a score of TwenTy Two To TwenTy and iT was CenTrals Homecoming. Then, GaTeway won again, beaTing LiTTleTon ThirTy six To sixTeen. The season broughT GaTeway one more win, againsT Cherry Creek. Creek had nineTy nine players ThaT day and GaTeway remained wiTh TwenTy six. Head Coach Dallas Hilliar said, This game was The high poinT of The season and The Team really wanTed To beaT Creek.
