C5aTeway Of The Rockies 1 Q ,-33 O Aspens will always be a beauTiful sighT. The year passed quickly, like a baskeTball Through The neT. IT seemed we were in for an ex- Tremely long year in The end of AugusT when we began school. AfTer The clos- ing of GaTeway, because of asbesTos problems, we were forced To aTTend Rangeview High School, Rangeview had Their schedule from 7:00 am To 4:00 in The afTernoon, while we had ours from 42:00 noon To 6:45 aT nighT. The schedule caused hinderances in many areas. Some sTudenTs lefT GaTe- way To go To oTher schools ThaT had beTTer schedules. ThaT lefT The TRUE OLYMPIANS aT GaTeway To conTinue Their educaTions. This was also The lasT year ThaT GaTe- way was allowed To use The Olympic rings. The rings weren'T seen very much around The school because we ob- Tained a new emblem. IT had a Torch ad and a ring of ivy around iT. Under The bad condiTions, we Tried To make The besT year possible. We supporTed our aThIeTic Teams in every way possible. WheTher They won or losT, There were always people aT The games jusT for encouragemenT. Sever- al of The clubs saw a decrease in aT- Tendance This year because mosT had To meeT early in The morning. Regard- less, clubs like FBLA, FHA and oThers conTinued To win awards. T Paul Jones, Chip Davis, Jason Worrell, Ken G-reenhil, Mike HaTfieId and Rob Lanphier raised spiriT aT games. Closing 217
