The below temperature weather put a halt to some of our weekend activities. Winter brought in two kinds of people, the people who loved the snow and then the people who hated it. The people who enjoyed the snow took ad- vantage of the condition by going skiing, while the other people probably stared out of the window wishing the snow would go away. Mid- term Graduation this year was another out- standing event. Mrs. Joseph was in charge of the Commencement Exercise. There were nine graduates from Gateway on January 24, I984. Also this winter was the first time the Nuggets hosted the NBA All-Star Game. Also during that week, people enjoyed the Slam-Dunk contest and the Old-Timers Game. Superbowl XVIII, didn't live up to its expectation. Some people made money from bets on the Raiders, while others were in a state of shock by the loss by the Redskins. Concerts were also exciting this year. Kiss made thier first tour without their make-up and all the crazy out fits they used to wear. Also, their music had been milder than their Hard-Loud Rock-n-Roll. Also another fam- ous Superstar who was going thru cosmetic surgery was Michael Jackson. This year on the Music Awards, Michael won almost every cata- gory from Pop to Soul, to favorite new artist and his splendid musical videos. Along the clothing line this winter at Gateway, it seemed like once again fashions were changing.
