Students could spend weekends watching the Denver Bears or the Broncos. Lakes in the mountains give students a chance to get away from school life. il' Y Soph. Joey Giles spends weekends working at Karmelcorn in Aurora Mall. Playing games at Leilflans was a popular pastime. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were the days that all Olympians longed for. From 7:28 am Monday morning, students were found either dreaming about what they did over the weekend or what they would do for the upcoming one. A popular place to go on weekends was Aurora Mall. Here students could make new friends, go shopping, and even get a bite to eat. Of course movies, an all time favorite, continued to occupy our free time. Some of the most attended movies were 48 Hours. Sudden Impact, Scarface, and Return of the Jedi. In the trend of the 8O's, playing video games and working with computers were what some students chose to do. There were a lot of students who spent their week- ends in hobbies, like boxing, ice skating, and gymnas- tics. Cthers found school sports to be a challenging way to have fun and stay in shape. Celebrity Sports Center, demanded the time of Gate- way Students. Watching the Broncos, Nuggets. Bears. Flames and Gold, Colorado'-5 sports teams were for f- Sl people who had extra money to spend. bl Jxf X! The plot revolved around a writer in Russia at the turn of the Century. He tells tales common to the happenings of the day. The destruction of a young man's pride after an accidental sneeze on General is portrayed in The Sneeze. Govern- ess deals with a young, naive governess being cheated on her pay by her Mis- IFBSS. The talents of an unsure dentist are tested when he has to remove the tooth of a local Sexton in Surgery. A Quiet War deals with two old ArmyfNavy pals who have contests on strange items such as 'the perfect lunch', women, etc. The abili- ty of one mans gift to break up married couples is shown through The Seduction. The Drowned Man tells of a young man's strange profession of drowning himself for the entertai ent of others and a price of 3 rubles scared child's first theatrical auditio and her great ability to act is portrayed in The Audi- tion. A poor, but demanding woman fight- ing for the extra money due her sick hus- band is the message of The Defenseless Creature. The Arrangement is about a fa- thers gift for a young man on his I7th birthday. One catch, the gift is a chance to spend an evening with a voluptous lady of the night. Throughout the play, the Writers message is to tell of his lifetime goal. Unfortunately, he never tells of the goal. Everyone who was connected with the show thought it went really well and gave a different aspect of theatre to the audi- ence. The audience, in turn, enjoyed a delightful evening.
