CFacult5f' Keep On Cleaning Gateway would be lost without the I4 custodians that worked here both day and night. The head custodian was Charles Turner, a retired Air Force Non Commission Officer. He had lived here since i963 and has four daughters that went to Gateway at one time. He said he likes working at Gateway and for the number of kids that went here the work isn't that hard, it's just a challenge. He said the rules that the kids had here aren't that strict and that was the only thing he's not used to. Earnie Rowe, Warren Burrell, Nathan Stranes, Wally Nass, and Susan Marrier were the other daytime custodians. They agreed that gum, ink on the wails. tobacf co juice and ground in food on the floor were the hardest things to clean up. They thought the students should have real- ized that the food could attract ants. Gateway was very proud to have all fourteen of the custodians. They made the home of the Olympians' more Eike a home. ,ass 222 Faculty Charles Turner. Earnest Rowe. Front row Wally Nass. Susan Marrier.
