oraduates anxiously await for the ceremony to I Graduation. A time every Senior looked forward to, and the class of I983 had high expectations as well. When June 4 came around all Seniors were excited as they knew the time they had worked I2 years for had finally arrived. But this attitude was soon changed as they were preparing for the ceremony. As the graduates were lining up, the bleachers began closing on them, although there were still people sitting on them. The graduates were forced to jump from seven, to eight feet off the ground. Many girls were forced to jump, regardless of the fact that they had on three to four inch heels. Some of the other people were literally crushed before they had time to jump. Through this accident seven members of the class were injured. Among the injured was Vonna Maul, who went through the ceremony with a temporary cast and the help of Sid Whitney. Once the ceremony was finally started, and platform guests were introduced, speeches were given. Speakers consisted of class officers who gave speeches on some of the most memorable times of the past four years. There was also addresses from Vale' dictorian lrene Cote, and Salutatorian Dan Pfannenstiel. The presentation of diplomas followed and the moment the class of l983 had waited for finally arrived. While Maria Bishop was giving the Benediction, orange and gold caps began flying. As the graduates made their way back to the gym, their thoughts were on their futures, some con- sisted of college, others of full time jobs. Still others looked forward to the graduation parties that were to follow that night. From this the class of l983 will never be forgotten. continue, I4 Gradua tion-i983 Valedictorian lrene Cote sheds light on her future. 79693 M V 0 ' 1 .5 4 p 1 .M O N-V D W 'Q 1' 'U Y O ' wc fs ' 'X f 'L' A W9 s is 59 3 Glenn Williams reminisces on his favorite times of his Senior year 4

Ibcky L-Ylfloun tain qligh Big Horn Sheep are a part of Colorados numerous wildlife. On A Clear Day, You Can See Forever We were fortunate enough to live in one of the most goregous states in the country. Colorado was appealing to ev- eryone because of its colors and gore- gous mountains. It was always so easy to skip a day and take a trip to the high country for a picnic at Red Rocks or shopping in Central' City. In the summer, Colorado provided us with beautiful days and warm, star- ry nights. The concerts at Red Rocks always provided a great evening after spending the day in the sun, picnicing and waiting for the concert to begin. If concerts and sunburn weren't your style, there was always shopping in the mountains and the Alpine slides at Heritage Square, Winter Park, or Breckenridge. Fall kept us busy with the Bronco games and watching the Aspens turn. Once winter came along, we were all excited because the ski season was upon us. Colorado had about the best skiing around. Vail, Keystone, Winter Park, Aspen, and Breckenridge were among the favorites. The ski club pro- vided us with discount rates and a full day of fun. Those who preferred the city life could enjoy shopping down- town or ice skating at the May DEF ice rink. The l6th Street mall provided us with great shopping and friendly mer- chants. 3 1 Flowers on the l6th Street Mall help decorate the newly built mall, I5 Rocky Mountain High But no matter how you enjoyed Colorado the most, the warm, summer nights, or the cold, snowy winters, it was a beautiful state that everyone loved.
