We had to carry passes everywhere, and get them signed from where we had come from. But luckily, this idea wore out about the middle of December. The pep assemblies helped us show ev- eryone how much we loved Gateway. The selling of Gateway buttons and stickers by the cheerleaders helped us get into a spirited mood and cheer our teams to victory. Friday and Saturday nights were filled with football and basketball games, then off to Burger King or a party to chat and be with friends. The plays provided an enjoyable evening of fun for anybody who had interest in the theatre. Upper Left: The band shows its spirit during the homecoming pep assembly. Srs. After Christmas came a new semester and mid-term graduation. Around April the sun finally came out and started melting the snow away. Soon prom would be here, then graduation. We were busy preparing for finals and sum- mer vacation. Even though the year seemed too fast. we made the most of it.
