Class Prophecy I, Rita Rae Ward, after successfully completing a day of work as secretary to the president of Boeing Aircraft C omp any, wander into the living room of my pent house in New York, and sit down to rest my weary bones. As I settle down in my chair, I find myself dreaming of past days. Yes, the good old days---school days! I think of my classmates in school, and I can see that they have all come a long way since we gr adu ated in 1960. The year is now 1970---ten years later. I can see Marie Lilley as a typical old maid school teacher. At the age of 28, she has given up all hope of becoming anything else. The former Hulda Mae Fleming is now o p erating the Fleming Home for the aged. Hulda holds the position as chief cook and bottle washer. , Bobbie Ann Eure has joined the staff of 'the highway patrol, as a police woman. I wonder if she ever ever chases anythinggotherthan men? , . ,. Bobby Ray Chappell is racing in the famous Darlington 500 with his fast Chevy . I see that Rachel Johnson is dancing in the famousf Silver fsnpper, sispstill looking for a mate. i - V' 1: . Pat Brown is an English Professor at the University of North Carolina.
