After struggling eight long years, we had finally reached what we thought was the end of all our cares. i Our freshman year was one of the eventful years of high school. These thirty-one freshmen had much ltoglearn. One of our cherished memories is the excitement of Mr. Askew's famotis three questions in General Science Class. Class Prophecy I, Rita Rae Ward, after successfully completing a day of work as secretary to the president of Boeing Aircraft C omp any, wander into the living room of my pent house in New York, and sit down to rest my weary bones. As I settle down in my chair, I find myself dreaming of past days. Yes, the good old days---school days! I think of my classmates in school, and I can see that they have all come a long way since we gr adu ated in 1960. The year is now 1970---ten years later. I can see Marie Lilley as a typical old maid school teacher. At the age of 28, she has given up all hope of becoming anything else. The former Hulda Mae Fleming is now o p erating the Fleming Home for the aged. Hulda holds the position as chief cook and bottle washer. , Bobbie Ann Eure has joined the staff of 'the highway patrol, as a police woman. I wonder if she ever ever chases anythinggotherthan men? , . ,. Bobby Ray Chappell is racing in the famous Darlington 500 with his fast Chevy . I see that Rachel Johnson is dancing in the famousf Silver fsnpper, sispstill looking for a mate. i - V' 1: . Pat Brown is an English Professor at the University of North Carolina. She owns her own private nospital and has the.World s greatest staff of doctors working under her supervision. y U L ' Carolyn Felton has become a secretary for a public accountant. She seems real. enthusiastic abouther job. fi f f George Baker has just gotten his degree in medicine from the University of North Carolina. Whilefniajoring in medicine, he minored in girls. , A , Paulette F. Wester has joined the Navy, and is specializing in following her husband around the world. - Jeff 'ii, Wiggins has become the wor1d's most famous barber and tonsorial stylists for amen. V f 3J0e,Buck has become president of the J. E. Buck Tobacco Company. I can see that his. little tobaccoifarm in Drum Hill has grown a great deal in the past ten years. Nancy Cowper has given B.
