.Synopsis Here in the 1955 CRESCENT- we have tried to capture and portray the spirit of our school in a Panorama of C. H. S. p The staff has worked many long hours trying to put together a yearbook which will help you to remember this year. We have tried to include all the students and activities to show a complete Gatesville High. Compiling your annual has been our pleasure and we will feel fully rewarded if the 1955 CRESCENT pleases you. As time passes on andgfriends are separated, may this book help you recall all thefamiliar faces. We, the Seniors, are indeed proud of this school, and as a challenge to the Seniors of tomorrow may this yearbook serve as a basiswfor remembering 1955 and building even a better school for the many students who shall follow our examples. May you never forget G. H. S. and what it means to you-may it live in your heart as a symbol of high school happinesses and sorrows and what it has taught you--principally to get along with other people. I Dedication y This edition ofthe CRESCENT is humbly dedicated to Mrs. John Milner, whose love and respect for her students and for all C. H. S. have endeared her to every Hornet that has received her understanding help during this year and past years. Her qualities of wisdom as our counselor, foresight as our sponsor, and intelligence as our teacher have served as an example to the students of many years. Her life of faithfulness has spoken more convincingly than her words. We, the Crescent Staff of 1955, dedicate the CRESCENT to her as a symbol of our appreciation. V
