1042663 G55 WPOIQA QC? Feb. 29, 2002 The Pill Age Dear Gates High School: '1'he senior class of 1952 said they would keep you informed on what each one was doing in the next half century. I was given the task of finding each one and writing a brief story on his activities. When I took off in my new super sonic sable jet Buick, I didn't know how or where to find any of my old clasanates. I was just cruising along at a hundred and ten when all of a sudden something went past me like a feather in a cy- clone. I wasnft going to let anyone pass me like that, so I took chase. When I finally caught up, he was parked and had been sitting there for ten minutes. To HW surprise it was Ed Haney. He told me he is now producing his own jet hot rods and playing first base for the Yankees. He told me to go to spring training camp and I would find another one of my class- mates. When I pulled into the training grounds all I could see was a group of girls around a player. When Bob Lee saw me he almost dropped the girl he had on his lap. He said he took the place of Scooter Rizzuto, and they called him Shuffle-along Lee. I bid him farewell and started off again. I stopped at a hot dog stand to get a bite to eat and rest a little. The fellow frying the hot dogs 'looked a little familiar. He was short and had a cast on his right leg. When he turned around I saw it was Jack Oliver. Jack tol.d me he had sold enough hot dogs to pay his way to Arabia where he had invested in a harem. As I started on, the radio gave this flash, Wilmer Crites the great- est fishennan of the half century has hooked on to one of the biggest fish in history. He has been struggling with it for five days and nights and has been in three different oceans. At last report he was going through the Panama Canal. As I stopped for a stop sign I saw a sign saying Earle Henness, King of Hams fradio that isj. I stopped to talk and found him happily work- :Lng on his sets. He has been married for four years a.nd has six kids ftwe were twinsl. He said he had bought Esquire and is now its publish- erq ' As I started on I picked up a paper and I read in big headlines, Ma.:d.ne Schoeder, the Socialite of the Milky Way, has just snagged her sixth husband in eight tries. She also has a thriving business called Men Cane Easy. I-Ier slogan is If you want a man quick, ccme and see mek. II I only had two more clasanates to find so I started to settle back for another cruise when I heard clipity-clop, clipity-clop and looked out my window. There was no other than Carolyn BrejCha on a big blue horse. We talked for awhile and she said she had married Skipalong Sanore the oil tycoon. She has a big horse ranch :Ln Kentuclq and a. Kentuclqf Derby winna' called Slow Poke.
