The term student-teacher is a paradox, but that is exactly what they are, college students and teachers at the same time. Each student-teacher works a full day at Gates-Chili High School, and then attends classes after school to finish work towards his or her degree. Many also hold down part-time jobs, because their work as ,,-fxf, student-teachers is for the ex- perience, rather than the paycheck. Although they may only be with us for a few mon- ths, their impact on us can last much longer, as can our impact on them. Many thanks to the student-teachers at G-C whose knowledge and dedication is greatly appreciated. I enjoy being with high school students experience R LaQuay STUDENT TEACHERS and want to be a part of their learning Roberta LaQuay Miss LaQuay is a senior at Roberts Wesleyan College, and is teaching math with Mr. Swift. When it comes to student teaching, she most enjoys, talking to students. FACULTY

There were the traditional dress-up day and blue and white day with the addition of rainbow day, Hawaiian day and sweats and sneaks day. Events included the tug-of-war, bonfire, homecoming dance, the parade and of course, the game. Our Spartans won back the Spartan Head Trophy from Greece Olympia in a sound beating of 14-0. Overall, the seniors won Homecoming Week, followed by the juniors and sophomores with the freshmen bringing up the rear. Homecoming King and Queen were Darren Robinson and Amy Cervini accompanied by Sue Bellanca, Sue Bergmann, Missy Hiller, Beth lllingworth, Mary Ann McGuire, Grace Sciascia, Jim Gay, Steve Chapin, Mike Williams, Dan Mezzoprete, Steve Pitts and Dave Siciliano in the court. All in all it was a fantastic week topped off with a fantastic football game. Even the rain couldn't dampen the endless spirit shown throughout the entire week, HOM ECOMING 47
