' A Tribute To The Senior Class Friendship Friendship is truly a gift to behold, It can neither be bought for money, nor sold for gold. No matter how rough or windy the storm, It is friendship like this that will make you fell warm. This is a gift from God up above, For you see, he wants us our neighbor to love. Many have lied and cheated to gain someone ' s favor, But it is the essence of truth that captures the savor. Anything less than being a good friend, Will wither and die and break up in the end. In Friendship -It is not what you get but what you can give And it is friendship like this that forever will live. With Christ as our Savior and this as our guide, With Him, in Heaven, We all shall abide. 1 Nancy Munsey Class of 1957 First Graduating Class Of Gate City High School With this poem is a prayer also dedicated to tbe Class of 1975 That God will be with you and guide and direct you, as you venture into a new and different realm of life. That this generation will be an asset to our country. That God will give you wisdom and under- standing in all things. That instead of having hatred for anyone, that instead you pray for them. That instead of division among our Nation, that you bring about a new togetherness. Your goal will be a trying and tremendous aim, but with love, patience, truth, and understanding-Once again we can say These United States of America -with a more meaningful and brighter outlook. 44 Class Officers: President: Doug Gray, Vice-President: Anne Barker, Secretary: Robin Hensley, Reporter: Ricky Quillen, Treasurer: Richard Jones.
