WE PAY TRIBUTE So that we might give recognition to someone who has been outstanding, we have chosen to dedicate our yearbook to a fine lady, a faithful friend, and a good teacher, Mrs. Mabel Wing. Through Mrs. Wing’s help, many minds have been awak- ened to learning. Having received a B.A. degree at Berea College in Kentucky, she has put her vast knowledge to work in the classrooms of Shoemaker High School and is presently teaching World Geography here at Gate City High School. She is a sponsor of the Library Club and of the F.T.A. Her outstanding career as a teacher is an in- spiration not only to all future teachers, but also to every- one who knows her. Because Mrs. Wing has served us so well, it is with pride that we pay tribute to her in the 1966 Blue Devil. Mrs. Mabel Wing
