Milf' Www A heavy silence settles over the room as the clock strikes twelve. My eyes have followed the shadows on the wall, but still a dream keeps appearing. It seems to be a vision. Who are you? Where are you? I am Time and I'm here to check On yOu. But why? What have I done? That is what I am here to find out. I check on everyone and find out what th ey have done. I also grant one wish when I come to see you. What would you like me to do? If you check on everyone, you must know what my classmates of '61 have been doing since we graduated from Gaston High School. I would like for you to tell me that. Well, as you probably would assume from the engagement rings, when you last saw them, a few are married. Audrey Lassiter is happily married and lives in North Carolina and Cynthia Claiborne lives on a huge ranch out West with her family. Joyce Pittman headed further west to California with her hus- band. Peggy Branch chos e to rear a family in her hometown of Gaston. There are some girls who made their careers as secretaries. Barbara Jordan is a foreign secretary. She has beento all the South American countries. Carolyn Clary, Linda Clements, and Glenda Mills share a lush apartment in New York where they work as secre- taries. Out in California working for Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer is Kaye Clary. Reigning as mayor of Gaston is Price Pearson. Other city councilmen are Kirby Carpenter and Payne Moore. There are some who are enter- taining others which is also important. You might turn on the television any day and see Macy Yates do one of her famous dance routines. Betty Shearin, too, has reached her goal as the most popular actress in Hollywood and has even more boyfriends than ever. Wayne Livesay, a sportscaster, gives the latest reviews on professional baseball player, Winifred Glenda Rooke Powell and professional football player, Pete Jones. In politics are Tommy Copeland, who is Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and William Massey, president of a law firm in New York. Seen throughout the country on the covers of leading magazines are two lovely girls, Carol Rook and Emma Ruth Webb. G. C. Kinlaw is considered the country's greatest car designer. Design- ing the motors for G. C.'s cars is Ray Smith. You know that farmers ar e the backbone of the nation. Ronnie Dickens owns a dairy farm in Maine. Carlton Edwards owns a ranch along with his brother Lewis Edwards. There are also quite afew busi- ness men and women. Lou Ellen Whitby owns a woman's dress shop with that exclusive designer, Bennine Vann. Wayne Jones owns a grocery store with Franklin Manning as head of the meat department. That seems to be the list of class- mates except for you. I see you've done very well as the owner of the business that your father established and now have several restaurants in North Caro- 1ina. Are you well satisfied with all your friends? I could hope for nothing more. Glenda Rooke, Prophetess f' Q31 mf ., .fa I lr-
