The initiation lasted one week During that week our faces were continually being smeared with rouge and lipstick. At the end of the week the upper classmen gave a party and we were the priviledged characters. There were ten freshmeng Eula Buxton, Colleen Hall, Bernice Ooley, Robert Clarke, Stanley Olson, Carl Hering, Charles Van Alstine, Lewey Cobell, Henry Hummels, and Ralph Griffith. Several changes took place in our class in our Sophomore year. Ralph Griffith transferred to Yamhill High School and Bernice Ooley to Forest Grove High. Chuck Van Alstine left us tc go to work. We lost three of our classmates but gained two others--Franklin Kimber and Lorraine Mix.
