SENIOR CLASS HISTORY On a bright sunny day in September just four years ago, ten Freshmen timedly entered the doors of Gaston Union High School. The embarrassing event of this year was as usual--you guessed it--Freshman initination! That ended our timidness. The Sophomore and Freshmen parties were enjoyed by one and alle At the end of the first semester Janis Hatfield entered from McMinnville Junior High. Jena Boyd to Gresham. This year ended with As Sophomores we had from Hillsboro High. Our 'divilment' this usual Freshmen-Sophomores Rolla Loban left to go to Carlton Hi and a picnic at Roamer's Rest. only five members. Donald Olson entered year was initiating the Freshmen. The parties ended the initiation. At the end of the first semister Donald Olson dropped out to go to work in the shipyards. .Jean Boyd returned. Dorothy Nillians transfered to Yamhill Hi. A picnic at herter's Park ended this school year. Our Junior year started with six members. Conrad Carter en- tered from The Dallas and Dick Marine entered from Portland. Margaret Johnson left us to attend Newberg High. Donald Olson returned only to leave us Navy 0 at the end of the semester to join the One of the highlights or our Junior year was the Junior-Seniox Banquet held at the Congregational Church May 5. After the dinner the Juniors treated the Seniors and Faculty to a show at Hillsboro. And so another year was ended. The annual picnic being held at Roamer's Rest. As Seniors there pre only three of us left. Wayne left just before the end of the irst semester to become u member of the Y U.S. Navy. The Senior Play nMeet the Husbandv was presented April 6. It was such a success that we presented it at Cherry Grove April 18,

At the first of May we skipped out one bright early morning for our skip dey. we spent the weekend at the beach. 1- Donald Olson and Wayne Ooley have attended Navy School and earned enough credits to graduate with their former classmates. Everyone of the former boys in the service of Uncle Sam.
