JUNICR CLASS NEWS The Juniors started this year by electing the following students as officersg Virgil Cedergreen, President, Eldon Ceder- green, Vice-President, Donna Johnson, Secretary, Teola-Perkins, Treasurer, and Maryellen Ahlgren, Council Member. The Juniors won the interwclass basketball championship this year. As freshmen and sophomores, they lost the championship by one game, All five of the team consisting of Virgil Cedergreen , Eldon Cedergreen, Tom Sugai, Henry Sugai, and Darold McCoy, made the first team, They all received letters in basketball, All of the boys are again out for a letter in baseball. The Juniors have done very well in sports this year, fAt least we think so,D Tom Sugai, Maryellen Ahlgren, and Teola Perkins have been regular honor roll students, The Juniors sold candy all year, The money was used to give the Junior-Senior Banquet which was held in the Congregation- al Church on May 2. The banquet was a huge success, Maryellen Ahlgren, Teola Perkins, and Darold McCoy re- presented the Junior Class at Salem this year at the Junior Con- ference sponsored by the Willamette University. The Juniors sponsored a Trick Harmonica Act on April 7. The show was held in the assembly for all school children and their parents, It was much enjoyed by all who attended, The class chose Mr. Metzger as their advisor. His leadership and direction have been greatly appreciated by all the members of the Junior Class. Disaster struck the Junior Class in mid-April when Tom Sugai lost his middle finger in the planer in shop class. This was a definite loss to the baseball team as Tom had been one of the first team men all season, playing second base,
