.l Mr. john Duran Superintendent Having served Gaston as principal of the high school for seven years, Mr. john Duran was made Superintendent of the Gaston Schools this year. The Duran family enjoys a quiet evening at home with Dad reading to the children. Nir. Duran hegan his teaching career in Min- den. Texas. He later accepted a position at Leveretts Chapel. Preeeding his arrival at Cas- ton in 1944, he was principal of Sabine High School. Mr. Duran received his BA. Degree from Stephen F. Austin State College and then ut- tended The University of Texas where he re- ceived a Master's Degree. He is a member of The University of Texas chapter of Phi Delta Kappa.
