In the forefront of the creators and sustainers of Gaston College is the Chairman of our Board of Trustees, J. Edward Stowe. A humanitarian in the fullest sense of the word, a skillful leader who gives of his abilities beyond measure, possessor of that truest kind of education - the educated heart, Mr. Stowe has been a vital advocate for our constant progress on the campus, in the surrounding counties, and in the offices of the State House. Cognizant of our limitations of expression in truly describing a man of such outstanding character, we leave off words and take the action to dedicate the 1974 REVELEER to our best friend, Mr. J.
