Doctor Woodrow B. Sugg, President For us, the occasion of our “Showing to the Community” Gaston College is a warm and exciting one. Whether rain or shine, we’re confident that — in symbol — no clearer days may ever dawn for our Community than those on which people, seeking fulfillment and self-improvement by learning, enter Gaston College to gain knowledge, sharpen techniques, acquire skills. Lyrically, we offer you an inspirational challenge to “Rise and Look Around You” at this . . . Your College. Logically, we invite you to See It Like It is — Understand How It Serves — Share In What It Must Be. Sincerely, we appeal to your interest and concern and ask for your support. Happily, we remind you of the dividends in community well-being that follow. It’s unalterable as is the sequence of Day and Night - comprehensive education of individuals within a community J

By “owning” nothing, she had (and gave) all. 26
