W. Robert Halstead Vice President and Dean of Technical Education To the Members of the Graduating Class of 1967: You have attended Gaston College during a most eventful period. Even though you will be the first regular graduates since the col- lege became a part of the community col- lege system, this will be the second annual commencement of the college and, if the pre- vious graduates of the Gaston Technical In- stitute are included, the ninth annual com- mencement for graduates of the technical division. You came to us in the months immediately following the merger of these institutions and have been with us long enough to see the erection of the new technical-vocational building complex. Since you will be the first group to occupy these new buildings, we hope you will feel that the buildings are yours and that you will take an active interest in the college, as we will in you, during the excit- ing years ahead as you face the business of life.
