Construction methods and Estimates is one of the courses The program in Civil Engineering Technology is designed to educate the student in practical applications with the broad field of Civil Engineering. This program is intended to pre- pare the student for vocations in the construction and trans- portation fields of engineering. Graduates are qualified to perform such duties as estimating, specification writing, surveying, inspection, or supervising with both public and private firms. The laboratory is equipped with the essential tools to offer training in methods and equipment used in the area of Civil Engineering. 8

MECHANICAL and PRODUCTION ENGINEERING The Mechanical and Production Engineering Tech- nology curriculum trains personnel to assist the engineer or the small manufacturer in all types of industry in the planning of production processes, equipment, sales, tool- ing, drafting, production of materials, and supervision of personnel. The graduate is well-trained in tool design and shop practices as well as in motion and time study. The Mechanical and Production Engineering Tech- nician must, of necessity, be a versatile person, and as a result, he is in demand in all types of industrial processes. 10
