The program consisted of the 'fine music furnished hy the Gas City Band under the direction of the Band Director, Fred Reiter. Niany patriotic seiections were played. The pledge to the Hag was ted at the East Ward hy Miss Ethel Louise Vvard and at the West Ward 'hy Miss Evelyn Kensier. Community singing was ted hy Mr. Luke Wagoner in a very effective way. The addresses were delivered hy Superintendent A. J. Reifei. PAPER COLLECTIONS THE Physical Education Director, Wilbur S. Cummins, and junior high schooi students with the help of Owens-iiiinois coiiect paper every two weeks. The sate of this paper has heen a material heip in the promotion of recrea- tion, during horth the -winter and summer months. Vve hope to have a nest egg of 351,500 by the ciose of the present school term. SKATING PARTIES EVERY two weeks skating parties are conducted under the supervision of the Physical Education Director, Wilbur Cummins, and Principal F. VV. Hengstier. The students pay half price and the Recreation Fund takes care of -the rhaiance. The attendance at these parties range between 80 and 150. Page Fiftyathree

PEP SESSION AV Yea Team Fight! Say Team Fight! Yea Teaml Say Teami Fight! Fight! Fighti UR npep sessions!! are something we all want to rememher. This year we had three ahle and competent cheer leaders. Nlarjorie lVlcClure and Bill Johnson, newly elected, and one veteran, Barhara lVlCKinney. Usually our pep sessions hegan hy some cheers from the students of hoth Junior and Senior High Schools led hy the Cheer leaders. Sometimes we had some students sing a few popular songs. We also had other types ol: enter- tainment at the pep sessions like lilms and other student participation. Sometimes we had speakers: Reverend Hart, Coach Cummins, HRoolcieu Johnson, Corporal Louie Jones and lvlr. Reilqel, who frequently led us in his favorite yell . . .
