Another year, another class, -But this year's loest, 'hy far. Twenty-eight, to graduate, And proud, we certainly are. So'-'al-phahetically, I'Il take you Down our Senior line. A word or two, about each one, If I can malce it rhyme.. Beginning with the letter A, As I have now lhegun. Another Atlcinson, that's me, This poet, Cora Ann. A quiet type is Darrell B., Thatys if you lcnow him not, For1Darrell's really Hon the 'lzneamy' Today: that means a lot. Now, Balso stands 'for Barton, And Jeanne is the lass. And as 'for planning parties, Her no one can surpass. Our photographer is Norman, Yes, to him We,ll give a pat. He knows 'his lessons daily, He's one who gives a snap. So shy, demure, we,re sometimes told, We gaze at Macei B., Her talented, Fine sketching, A great artist, soon we'll see. Betty 'Colescott is the one, To whom we owe a lot. ln committees and our activities, We rate 'her at the top. Bernard Elmericlc, our tallest lad, is one we do admire. He's popular, and not because He always has the car. Levi Fanning, our Casanova, Has the ladies in a whirl, Content to go stag everywhere And iiirt with every girl. Page Twenty 1944 SENIORS Who's this, the gals are gathering 'round, Why yes, itls Walter G., A physique that malces the ladies swoon, lt's essential, you can see. Alice Virginia is the name, VVho,s sad, from school -to depart. -But she always 'has her motto, Say, Mister, have a Hartf, A wolf, no less, can now loe seen, Who, George? VVe're only teasing, For George is nice and always polite, With manners, that are pleasing. Dorothy Hoppes, we now recognize, A smile for each and all, With 'hlushes every now and then, in Civics, most of all. And over here, another gal, Why yes, it's Doris Hurst. A friend to all, and lots of lun, VVe'll put her up at first. Gene Jeffrey, another quiet boy, Mathematician and musician Whose copiers were always in The exactly right position. Mariam Patricia, is the name, And she is really rating. When aslced for a sta-tement, she replies, 'Tm finally graduating. Martha Johnson, next in line, And we all call her Gene, And planning games at Senior parties Has made this gal supreme. Shy and swee-t Naomi Karnes, Doesnyt have much to say, Only Hone objection to ilzinishing school 'is what to do next day. Everywhere girls can he seen, Around our Francis L., For he just has a way with girls, An answer, he wonyt tell. Joe Diclc 'McKinney is quite the lad, Around the town, we,re told. A secret for his popularity is Not -too shy and not too hold. I Now Paul Reese is the next one To whom we are a-loolcing, But, as you lcnow, he has a gal, Yes, hels been classed as Too Betty Sheppard, I declare, For her the guys go crazy. She's lots of fun, and confidential Has great plans for the Navy Next we have Virginia Slater, Our studious little hlond, Mostly seen with 'Betty Sheppard Of each other must he fond.
