Father-and-Son Banquet spon- sored by Hi-Y Club. 2-l-Senior High School elected XYilliam Overly and XYalter Pratt yell leaders. Let's make this year a year full of pep, and hack the team. 26-XYarren Groves appeared this afternoon with a badly damaged eye. XYon- der what caused that? Had a peppy pep session this afternoon which ended with a snake dance. 30-Quite an exciting day-This morning Esther Griffin found a kitten downstairs and straightway adopted it. She carried the kitten around all morning in her sweater and took it home at noon, and there it stays for all we know. 31-Mr. Marshall read .Xhie's lrish Rose for us this afternoon, and after that another short reading. Did we like it? Oh! l guess so. NUYEKIIRER 1-XYe had a very interesting reading, Cappy Ricks, hy XYilson Paul of Taylor lfniversity. Did you like it? lf you didn't, just change it. . 2-blames Glaze just took a seat ton the tloorl. J-Big' pep session. The ceiling at the front of the assembly is Cracking. 6-Election day at school. Hoover won over Smith with 172 votes to 91. Pictures taken for the Annual. 7qlXIoved our seats. The first two rows in the assembly on the east side have been devoted to the two families, the .Xtkinson's and the Browns Someone suggested that we shave our heads and put on striped suits or else have the hoys wear knee pants and the girls wear long-tlowing dresses. Ye olden times. Night schoolg big crowd here. Tigers were seen in action for the First time. Going to have a fast teamg not fast to the Hoor either. 9-First game of season. Land Upland! 12-Lost to Upland by four points. Too had! 14-Interference in gym will cause delay in putting up the hankboards and the electric sign hoard. Stay out! 13-The 12B English Class will take the life of Jonathan Swift tomorrow. Uh, murder! 19-XYell, we didn't eat Eaton. Not much, but wait for the next game. Donald Simons accidently gave Yirginia Ferguson and surrounding community an India ink shower bath. Donald was per- forming stunts with the ink bottle when the cap Hew off and the ink went wild. We won't repeat some of the things that were said when about a quart went into Virginizfs mouth. -Ifirst call for basketball. Large number reported. -hlunior and Senior High School met and elected the Athletic Association ofiicers: President, Ralph Croyesg vice-president, Gladys XYallace: secre- tary, Alice Groves: treasurer, XYarren Groves. Mr. llrophy suggested that we call this the Groves Athletic Association, and wondered if there were not some more members of this illustrious family in the Cas City lligh School. Someone mentioned Elizabeth ifiarthwait tprobably the next tiroyesl. -L'onx'ocation program given by the XYest XYard.i A Hag and Bible were presented to the school by Daughters of America lodge. XYe thank you. OCTUIHCR -.lunior and Senior High School picnic at Rock Dam. About one hundred and tifty were present. All reported a good time. -We had Mr. Chase an'cl Mr. Dodge tsounds like a game of tagl. with us this afternoon. Mr. Dodge gave a very helpful talk. -Six weeks tests. Oh, dear! -Convocation today. l'rogram celebrated Columbus Day and Riley's birthday. -llasketball tickets went on sale. lloost the Tigers and get a ticket. -Report cards are out for the tirst time this year-new yellow ones.
