“1971 powderpuff football champs: FRONT ROW--Suzy Lewis, Chris Voit, Cheryl Peters, MilaBallentine, Mary Baker, Lisa Johnson, KarenHaynes. SECOND ROW--Mary Kay Clark, Deb Kleeman, Linda Custer, Connie Rapp, Becky Myers, Cathy Mcintosh. THIRD ROW--Cathy Custer, Angle LaTumer, Denise Smith, Leslie Wise, Dian Kock Coach, Rick Chamberlin. The Talent Contest, sponsored by Student Council, marked the beginning of the Little 500 . All twelve entries received cash prizes. The 1st prize winner, Polly Creager, performed two vocal selections . Gary LaLone took 2nd place with an original drum solo . Playing his own composition, Larry Asher won 3rd prize . In the Saturday ping- pong tourney, Cathy Mcintosh won the girl ' s competition, while Allen Thorne topped all in his division. Followin g the time trials, all participants joined in a parade . The soccer game between the Freshman and Sophomore boys ended with a victory for the Sophomores . The Sophomore girls carried on with a victory over the Fresh- man girls in buck-buck. The Senior guys defeated the Juniors in pushball 3--0, and the Sen- ior girls trounced the Junior team in football 14 --6. The Little 500 bicycle race ended with a victory for last year ' s champions: Tim Thrush, Jeff Stroman, Dan Miller, and Don Clark. Saturday night, students danced to the sound of the Me- dusa , bringing the Little 500 to a close . LEFT: Tammy Anderson leads the band during the Little 500 parade. .
