As the 1965-66 school year began, students and teachers were introduced to new faces, projects, and problems. Plans for the new gym¬ nasium were carefully con- side ed and approved by Mr, Charles Puff, Superintendent, and members of the School Board. Mr. James Fritch under¬ took his new duties as Princi¬ pal while Mr. George Pearson, Assistant Principal, saw that the discipline was properly carried out. Mr. Arthur Garrigus be¬ came the new boys ' guidance counselor. Miss LeNore Lewis, girls ' guidance counselor, helped solve the day to day problems that arose. Mr. Charles Puff Indiana State B.S. Indiana State M.S. Superintendent Leadership, Assistance Provided by Members of the School Board included: Mrs. Buford Smith, Mr. Oscar Noel, Mr. George Wade, Mr. Maurice Chisholm, and Mr. Raymond Bertch. 18

Indiana U.M.A. Reading, Writing, Speech, Drama Tom Barry and Randy Tustison drill on their vocabulary words for senior composition. The class learned twenty-five new words each week. Janney Lung spends many hours on notecards, rough drafts, out¬ lines, and typing in preparing his term paper. Attentive students listen to Judy Muzzillo ' s speech in Mr. Shelton ' s sophomore class.
