Convocations, Clothes Concern Us As the, weather got colder, students also became more style-conscious. This year benchwarmers were popular with both boys and girls . In style with the girls were textured hose and the ' ' total” look. The most popular fashion colors with many GHS ' ers this year were maroon and blue. Each year the Student Council presents a Thanksgiving program. The true meaning of Thanksgiving is presented with songs, speeches, and skits. Football season ended and basketball began. We eagerly anticipated a successful season. Mike Jacobs and Kevin Blair kept warm in benchwarmers, which were very popular among the boys this year. Theresa Wheeler gives her study period to work in the office. Taking attendence is one of the duties these girls perform. Ellen Hazeltine, Kathy Shreve, and Nancy Capin were fashion-conscious, as textured hose, shoulder bags, and benchwarmers were in style with the girls. Nancy McKee explains the meaning of Thanks¬ giving in a speech at the special convocation, sponsored by the Student Council.

Mr. Shelton as director of the play instructs the cast on an important item at dress rehearsal. Class Play Set in The Importance of Being Ernest by Oscar Wilde was chosen as the Senior Play for this year. It had a cast of nine people and was directed by Mr. Shelton. The play is a satire of Victorian Victorian Society society. The plot of the play is an idealistic situation involving the confusion of the name Ernest and to whom it belonged. The play was presented twice and was well accepted.
