MR. E. V. MINNIEAR Superintendent of Schools MR. JOHN E. FLORA Principal of High School PRINCIPAL MESSAGE Only the very learned people can explain the exact ways in which we have developed our per- sonalities this year but there are some things that even the humblest of us know about it. Well-planned lessons, rounded club activities, home room and class programs and business meetings, sales activity, athletics, music, parties, dances, lunches together, publications, professional assemblies, talent shows, creative work in many fields, and above all, our many personal friendships have been good and good for In the course of a school year, each of us has millions of experiences. Each experience has some kind of effect on our personalities; each kind of effect comes in countless degrees both negative apd positive. You and I have tried to make as many as possible of these experiences the kind that prepare us to live well. Occasionally we miss the mark and perform in a way that is detrimental to us. But how pleasant it is to observe that the vast majority of these events have been to our advantage. We each receive in proportion to our participation. This is about the same as saying that we get out of life what we put into it. All of us have benefited but not to the same degree. However, even a small success justifies great effort. May we all close this year with the honest conviction that the expenditures of money and effort directed to our schooling have been fully justified in that we are better prepared to live well Mr. Flora.
