The Girls' Athletic Association strives to promote interest in sportsmanship, oiiici- ating, coaching, intramurals and the enjoyment of physical education. Membership is earned through participation in school intramurals and activities. ' Members receive awards in the G.A.A. through active participation and interest in sports. The G.A.A. sponsors an orientation day in the spring for the incoming Freshmen. , The outstanding event of the year is the participation in the State Play Day held in Greensboro. 93
