HEARTS and BLOSSO NIS Hearts and Blossoms, an operetta in two acts was presented March 2, in the Memorial Building by the G.H.S. music department. The operetta was directed by Mrs. Fred Thompson. The setting is a small garden at a summer resort. The hotel guests Cchorus and girls glee clubj are interested in the love life of Marie CMari1yn Rompj and I une CShirley Evansj, Mrs. Namming CPat Griemanj, the girls's mother, dislikes Jerry CDean Cataldoj, Maries boyfriend, and Phillip Clvan Hullj, .Tune's boyfriend because Jerry is a Poor lawyer and Phillip is a nephew of Matthew Brandon CEd Hrubesb. Many years ago Matthew had misplaced anote that had a secret formula for complexion creme. Mrs. Manning was furious because he cou1dn't remember where he had placed it. After many years had gone by, Marie and Jerry found it in an old book, When Mrs. Manning saw the note she forgave Matthew and permitted Jerry and Marie, and Phillip and J une to have a double wedding. Uncle Matthew proposed to Mrs. Manning. She accepted, thus making a triple wedding. Another Happy couple was Malindy fSandra Hollatzj, the colored maid, and Samson CGary Formanekj, the colored bellboy. Other principals were: Carol Humphrey, Pat Wesenburg, Douglas Brown, and Wendel Humphery.
