A. consists of a group of girls interested in athletics.' This organization offers an opportunity for girls to participate in many activities which they otherwise would not be able to do. A ' In the fall the group goes on hikes' and bicycling. Meetings are held in the gym during ithe winter time and basketball, pingpong, shuffleboard, bowling and other games are played. ' A ' f ' G. The Future Farmers of America CF.F.A.D is a nation Wide organization, reaching from the state of maine to Hawaii, and from the state of Washington to Puerto Rico. It has local, state, and national officers. The state and national officers are elected at conventions held once a year.. The local chapter elects its own officers. Our local chapter. Hlhe Iowa River Chaptern of Garner. holds a meeting once a month. The meeting opens with reg- ular opening ceremonies after which the business meeting begins. If the boys-have problems they may bring them in. Our aim is to help the farmers in the community to secure better farming methods and crops. In conclusion, we will always strive to serve the farms ers in any way possible, and while doing so we are gaining skill and knowledge in the field of agriculture, the occue pation most of the memoers will undoubtedly choose.
