They were undefeated in district games, with an 8-0 record, which qualified them to compete in the TAPS Regional playoffs. The girls won the first game in the regional playoffs against Glad Tidings. They lost in the second game of the playoffs against Fort Worth Nolan High School, which ended their '84-'85 season. The girls worked hard under the direction of Mrs. Yvonne Davis and her assistant, Carla Weaver. Miss Weaver, a former G.C.A. graduate, was an asset in practices and helped the girls with shooting and various plays. The Varsity girls accomplished much this year and the school is extremely proud of them. Tranessa uses scare tactics to get the ball!
