VJLRSITY VQLLEYBALL it l The Varsity volleyball team enjoyed a good season this year. They began their season with a win against Frisco High School. They were 7-3 in T district matches and 15-10 for the season. The girls went on to compete in the TAPS Regional Playoffs first round against Evangel Temple, who rv -GQ.. they defeated in the third game. They played Ft. ' Worth Nolan in the Second round of the playoffs , f and lost in the third game. Good work, girls! The 1985 Swordsmen baseball season had an interesting beginning and end. The team had just two senior starters returning. ln the first three games of the year, the team gave up thirty runs, resulting in three losses. The team learned some lessons and grew together, and at mid-season put together a six game winning streak which helped them to a playoff berth. Behind the pitching of freshman Tommy Harris, the first playoff game was won over Trinity of Cedar Hill 15-8, which meant they would play Dallas Christian in the next game. The Swordsmen played their best game of the year, but lost to D.C. and ended the year with an 8-8 record. mldif Senior Clark McAfee pitches in a game against Canyon Creek.
