The Junior Varsity team is a farm system for the Varsity pro- gram. The coach stresses fundamentals, hustle and 1 f J. , teamwork. And in the end, God is given the glory for it f everything He allows the team to accomplish. One of the most exciting and memorable games iii' iit.. u. J g f' for the season was the final game against a much talented Dallas Christian team. The Junior Varsity team pulled out a 73-72 overtime victory with Glenn Miller leading the way. Cris Miller shoots a jumpshot against the Chargers. My, you have nice soft legs! The Varsity Basketball team this year was probably the youngest varsity team to play for G.C.A. It was a rebuilding season over last year's state championship team. But the team was diligent and worked hard at building another win- ning team, which they did. After a record of 17-5 set by last year's Junior High Swordsmen, the 1985 team had a hard act to follow. All the previous team members had moved on to the Junior Varsity leaving the new team with very little experience.
