TN-it l1 student council Student body officers and representatives from all the grades but hugh mne comprise the Student Council This group meets on Wednesday to discuss school problems cmd prolects student court The Student Court consists ofa chief lustlce and eight associate lustlces Students who break school rules are brought before the Court for trial and some fitting pen alty as given them student leaders Student Leaders perform one of the most important 'obs In the school which as to keep traffic in the halls orderly when the students pass between classes rally committee The Rally Committee keeps order about the school Their orange and white caps slgnlfy their authority gleaner staff The Gleaner Staff issues this book each term lt us headed by an edntor who IS assisted by selected students making up the staff Art photography literary and publicity are the different departments boys and gurls gym helpers Gym helpers are chosen by the gym teachers to help an varuous ways nn the P E department They are highly valued by the school library helpers Library helpers assist Miss Stone In keeping our ll brary functioning smoothly attendance helpers The attendance helpers collect absence slips from the teachers They are a great help to Mrs Bartell un keeping Garfield s attendance records In order oftice helpers The office helpers are very important in the school counselors and other office personnel p a crew The boys un this group are essential to Garfield s as semblces for they prolect movies operate the P A sys tem and control the lighting ITIIITIGO CI'eW This crew turns out anything from PTA bulletins to school maps for the teachers locker assistants The locker assistants help Mr Sauers an the problem of keeping the lockers in working order block ' g The Block G Society IS comprised of boys who have demonstrated ablllty In one or more of the school sports 9 U The Girls Association IS an organization In which all the girls In the school participate We have four programs a semester the first of which ns usually a Bug and Little Sister Party and the last a Senior Farewell Girls from all grades are nncluded In the talent for these shows Each advisory has an elected representative to col lect money for our progect which is Care Packages I . , nuucuuuork ' .
