I ' ll tell you a story, of long ago, About an old man, who lived in the snow: Once, in Holland, there was an old king; All children aivaited the presents he ' d bring. He ' d creep through the %uindow — Not knock at the door — And ivould scatter candy all over the floor. The children all loved him; he was so kind, He ' d bring them presents, if they would mind. We now have our Santa, so fat and round, He comes to the city, and then to the town. He creeps down the chimney, And runs through the hall, And leaves little Mary a great big doll. Hark!
