.ff I 1' lb ff 'T if' .,l' ENIOR L SENIDR PRGDUCTIONS WE ARE LEAVING i O we, the students of summer 1934 are S graduating! After all these years we find ourselves upon the threshold of a new beginning. How eager we are to begin an- other epoch in our lives. But do we really want to leave? No, oh. no! There are too many memories, too many familiar things. too many friends for us to wish to put our school days behind us. VVe cannot be so cold-hearted, so un- grateful as to forget all that school has meant to us. These dear familiar halls where we have daily walked. these rooms where we have wrestled over our school problems, with what regret we leave them. But are we actually leaving everything be- hind us? Many things. yes, but the culture. the ideals. and the inspirations fostered and developed here we will carry in our hearts forever. .-Xs if we were looking through a prism, our memories will pass before us clad in vestments of shining rainbow colors. As the years pass. our grudges will slip into in- signihcance. Even they will be faintly colored with the glamour of our school years. colored because they. too. are memories, In our veins throbs the longing for success. Some day. we hope. success for us will not be a phan- tom. - '-- . . . l . How we shall miss the teachers and the work and the :laily routine! Why we never knew. never realized how tightly woven into our being is school. If we could only go back for a while to enjoy the companionship we know is there. liut we cannot return. XVe must go forward as we grow older, groping toward our fut- ure, seeking the fulfillment of our dreams. -IRENE Fitosr 9 DEER HUNTIN' Toilin' up a mountain. XK'adin' down a stream.
