These thirty-three girls are con- stantly in the process of making their immediate proiect a success. Their motto, always ready to lend a helping hand , was put to usethroughout the year as the Purple Paws gave a Christmas party at the Seattle Hearing Center. These twenty-five boys usher for all school functions, such as football, basketball, and baseball games, and Funfest and Senior Play. Applications are filed during the last half of a boy's iunior year and first half of his senior year. I TER-HIGH CIDUNCIL HROUGH the Inter-High Council, composed of three leaders from each school, Seattle's eight public high schools are united in their efforts to solve common problems. The Council convenes once a month at the administrative center. To function as efficiently as possible, the Council is divided into three committees: Traffic and Safety, Law Enforcement, and Sportsmanship. Each school has one representative on each of these committees. This group also sponsors the Leadership, Traffic, and Seabeck conferences and the campaign for a safe and sane Halloween. Representing Garfield in the Inter-High Council are Sue Williamson, Penny Pettit, and Dave Fukui. ONE FOR ALL
